Japanese sounds

On the 20-th of December ENU immersed into the atmosphere of Japanese sounds. “Mononoke” club members under the leadership of Senior Lecture, Uteulieva G.K., have organized “Sounds of Japan” event. By the way, the club was founded in October of 2011. Club President is Aualbek Elnur, a second-year student of Oriental Studies. That day doors of the club were opened for all comers. At the first part of presentation guests learned about Japanese  musical instruments. They  were indeed  impressed by contemporary music accompanied with Japanese traditional musical instruments such as koto, taiko and samisen. For example, one of the famous Ricky Martin’s  songs had a new, Oriental sound.

Thereafter, guests were invited to the buffet table, where they sharing  the new experience and  asking questions about Japan and its culture.

After the successful conclusion of the event guests expressed their desire to gather more often and organize such cultural events more frequently.
