Diploma Award Ceremony at the Faculty of International Relations

On June 22, 2023, the diploma award ceremony was held at the Faculty of International Relations. The event was attended by university management and teaching staff, representatives of the Embassies to the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of foreign organizations, and parents.

This year the number of graduates included 160 undergraduate and 64 postgraduate students of the International Relations Faculty. Serik Makysh, Member of the Management Board - vice-rector for academic affairs of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, congratulated the students of the faculty on a special day and wished the youth a bright future. Along with diplomas, 30 students were awarded with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Chairman of the Board - the Rector.

The Representatives of foreign Embassies presented diplomas to the students of the following educational programmes: 7M03107 - "International Relations", 7M03105 - "Regional Studies", 7M02209 - "Oriental Studies", 7М02212 "Turkology", 7М02304 "Philology: Turkic Languages", 6B03102 - " International Relations", 6B020900 - "Oriental Studies", 6В02212 - " Turkology", 6B02312 - "Foreign philology: Turkish Language", 6B03105 - "Regional Studies".

Our esteemed guests – Mrs. Chi Fang, the Deputy Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia; Kanata Tomohiro, Counselor, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Kazakhstan; Omer Inan, Counselor on Education of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kazakhstan; Cholpon Ismoilova, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan; Ali Akbar Talebi Matin, Advisor for Cultural Affairs of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kalybek Kobylandin, the Honored worker of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the second rank – congratulated the graduates and expressed determination and confidence in the continuation of cooperation between our countries and universities in the direction of education, science, and culture.

The Dean of the International Relations Faculty, PhD Miras Kossybayev wished success and high achievements to the graduates and invited them to continue their education in Master's and Doctoral studies.

During the event, the detailed information about the ENU Endowment fund was also presented. The graduates expressed their gratitude to their Alma-mater in Kazakh, Russian, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Persian languages and expressed their heartfelt greetings to the professors.
