MEETING OF THE DEPARTMENT ORIENTAL STUDIES WITH STUDENTS

Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Oriental Studies T. Z. Kairken and Associate Professor of the Department, Doctor of Philology Akzhigit Alibekovich visited Kazakh-Russian Mixed School No. 23 in Astana on December 14, 2022 and held a round table with 9th grade students on the topic: "Youth is the future of the country." The meeting with the students was organized by the history teacher of this school, Serik Suleyman, and the meeting was attended by the director of the school, Yeraliev Zhaidar. At the Meeting T. Z. Congratulating teachers and students on the Independence Day, Kairken briefly dwelt on the historical path of our country to achieve independence. This is a modern view of various states created here by our ancestors since the history of modern Kazakhstan. The tradition of our ancestors to build a state here dates back 2500 years. Our ancestors throughout history have lived, worked and defended their country, their land. Today Kazakhstan appeared in a body made of skin and blood. Therefore, we must protect independence like the pupils of our eyes and welcome the next generation," he said. He also noted that there were various difficulties on the way of development of Kazakhstan today, noting that our country, which retreated 30 years ago, has entered a new era. He emphasized that in this new era, conditions are being created for teenagers and young people to receive high-quality education, to think about their future every day and to master the professions in demand. At the meeting with the students, a discussion was organized in the format of EMN-free question-answer.

At the meeting, the professors focused on the process of training orientalists at the Department of Oriental Studies of the L. N.Gumilev Eurasian National University and talked about the subtleties of the Orientalist specialty. Students asked questions and received satisfactory answers to better understand this profession. Booklets with a presentation of the specialty of Oriental Studies were distributed to the audience. At the end of the meeting, Tursynkhan Zakhenovich presented his recently published monograph "monument to Kultegin" and the book "Attila. The historical novel "those who visited the Balkans" was given to the teacher-librarian of the school by Erenova Rysgul.
