On June 24, 2021, a solemn ceremony of awarding bachelor's and master's degrees to graduates of the Faculty of International Relations of the L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University was held. This year, the graduation ceremony was organized in an online format due to the pandemic. The event was attended by the teaching staff of the Faculty of International Relations, foreign teachers, graduates.
The vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the University, E.A.Ongarbayev, addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech. Noting that this year is special both for our country and for our university – the 30th anniversary of Independence and the 25th anniversary of our educational institution, he noted that over these years the university has graduated about 65 thousand students. He stressed that today the graduates of the university are successfully working in various fields and wished the graduates success.
Dean of the Faculty, PhD, Associate Professor M.M.Kossybaev congratulated the graduates on an important event, noting that this year the Faculty of International Relations has graduated 179 bachelors and 57 masters. The foreign lecturer of the Department of Turkology, PhD Vildan Ondzhul wished the graduates-masters who have diplomas of the faculty in the educational programs of international relations, regional studies, Turkology, Oriental studies, success in their upcoming life stages.
The teaching staff of the University, in particular, Professor of the Department of International Relations, Doctor of Political Sciences R.S.Elmurzayeva, Professor of the Department of Turkology, Doctor of Philology N.G.Shaimerdinova, Professor of the Department of Regional Studies K.G.Darkenov, Professor of the Department of Oriental Studies, Doctor of Philology S.A.Tuleubayeva congratulated the holders of diplomas with honors, wished them a bright future.
In addition, the graduates were congratulated by the heads of the departments of Regional Studies – Acting Professor A.N.Ospanova, Oriental Studies – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Acting Professor A.Alibekuly, acting head of the Department of Turkology – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor U.A.Musabekova, International Relations – Candidate of Political Sciences D.K.Akhmedyanova.
During the event, a 2nd-year student of the specialty "International Relations" A.Esmuratova performed a folk song "Agugay". At the end of the event, the graduates expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the quality of education at the university.
