Our students entered the main qualifying round of the Encouraging Excellencies Program 2021

The 2-3-year students of the specialty of International Relations Akzholova Luiza, Bergeneva Aruzhan, Kaliaskar Nursulu and Samarkhan Shugyla entered the main qualifying round of the Encouraging Excellencies Program 2021, annually held by the non-profit Austrian organization WIIS.

Women in International Security Austria (WIIS Austria) launched the Encouraging Excellencies mentoring program in 2019, developed in close collaboration with Her Excellency Ambassador Veronica Roger-Lacan.  The Chair of the Mentoring Program 2021/2022 is Deputy Director of the OSCE PA Vienna Liaison Office, Marc Carille.

The aim is to connect female students in their early years at university with experienced diplomats and experts in international politics and security in order to provide their recommendations and thereby encourage them to enter the diplomatic and security realms.

By empowering young women, organizers want to improve their ability to take leadership roles at all levels of decision-making in political and public life, and to work towards achieving gender equality in an environment of international peace and security.
