Senior lecturers of the Foreign Languages Department held online open event on the topic “No corruption!”

      Currently, an anti-corruption events is being conducted around the world. Higher educational institutions also try to make their contribution to the common cause of the country.

      The anti-corruption policy of Kazakhstan "On measures to strengthen the fight against organized forms of crime and corruption" began with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 17, 1992. In July 1998, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Combating Corruption” was adopted, which was one of the first legislative acts.

       On April 27, 2020, at the Faculty of International Relations of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, as part of anti-corruption measures, the online educational lesson was held on the topic "No Corruption!" in order to form an anti-corruption worldview among students, According to the educational plan of Foreign Languageshe Department, this event was organized and conducted by K.O. Ergalieva and A. Kadykyzy, the senior lecturers of Foreign Languages ​ Department of the Faculty of International Relations.

       The moderator of the event was K.O. Ergalieva, who offered students and lecturers the presentation on "Corruption". She, as the person responsible for anti-corruption activities at the Faculty of International Relations, provided information on large-scale events held within the university and the faculty. In particular, she informed the opening of an anti-corruption project office “Adep” at the ENU, the republican project “Adaldyk Alagy”, and the signing of a memorandum on the adoption of anti-corruption measures between the rectors of the ENU Erlan Sydykov and First Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Combating Corruption Olzhas Bektenov.

       Dildabaev Merey (group IR-23), 2nd-year student, majoring in International Relations, prepared interactive material and talked about the main problems of corruption in Kazakhstan, preparing two relevant videos on the topic.

       The event was also attended by 1st-year students (group Shy-23), majoring in Oriental studies, Esim N., Kazken A., Kozhayhan S., Kaldybaeva M., Zaynolla D. and Bolat G., who made presentations and talked about the types of corruption, the main causes of corruption, the experience of foreign countries in the fight against corruption, as well as its prevention.

       Lecturers and professions from Foreign Languages Department attended the open online event; it was ended with a free discussion with the participation of all students and lecturers present. The educational open event that was held at the Foreign Languages Department ​​of the Faculty of International Relations was carried out with the aim of forming a common and professional culture of students, and raising their spiritual needs.
