On January 15, 2020, in the framework of the methodological decade “Methodological competence of the lecturers in the context of innovative teaching technologies”, senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Kulakhmetova Zh.T. made a presentation on the topic "Modern educational technologies in English-language classes".
The relevance of applying modern technologies in the educational process is caused by the integration and information processes taking place in society, the formation of a new education system focused on entering the global educational space.
The modern lesson of the English language is impossible to imagine and effectively implement without the use of modern technologies.
Kulakhmetova Zh. T in her report introduced the audience with the technologies, methods and techniques used by lecturers in English classes.
The speaker noted that along with information and communication technologies with its wide capabilities, lecturers actively use in their practice such technologies as project technology, game technology, multilevel learning technology, and the technology of critical thinking.
She also presented the teaching methods most often used by English lecturers in the classroom: model teaching method, “Mind-Map”, “Cluster”, “BrainStorming”, “Cinquain” methods.
Kulakhmetova’s speech aroused interest among the audience and there was a discussion after the report.
