Innovative methods of conducting lectures and seminars

April 30, 2021 within the framework of the work of the School of Pedagogical Excellence of the Faculty of International Relations, professor of the Department of International Relations, Doctor of History G.M. Kakenova lectured on the topic "Innovative methods of conducting lectures and seminars."

The lecturer revealed in detail the capabilities and specifics of individual methods, outlined the goals, objectives and main stages of the implementation of their application in the educational process. Of particular interest were questions on the technique of applying the methods of "lecture-consultation", "lecture-provocation", lectures in the format of the "inverted class". The features of the application of methods of conducting seminars in the context of distance learning were considered in detail - "the irony of Socrates", "the method of six hats", "brainstorming", "small groups", etc.

Professor G.M. Kakenova gave her vision of adapting innovative methods in the context of the specifics of the disciplines taught in the specialties of the faculty. It is emphasized that innovative methods can effectively solve the main task of university education - to prepare professionally competent, thinking, creative, competitive specialists who can defend their point of view.
