INFORMATION LETTER
REPUBLICAN ESSAY CONTEST
«WORLD REGIONS»
Main Essay Topics:
1. What constitutes the concepts “Region” and “world regions”.
2. What region do we live in and its specialization.
Contest goal: to organize a republican essay contest for familiarization and popularization of the educational program: “Regional Studies”.
Pool of participants in the contest: 11-12 grades school students are invited to participate in the essay contest.
Reception of works for the contest: Works from students of secondary schools for participation in the Essay Contest are accepted in electronic form from February 28 to March 28, 2022 inclusive by e-mail: region.essay@mail.ru. The Application must be attached to the work (see Appendix 1).
Essay text volume: up to 2 pages.
Editorial requirements for essay design: Languages: Kazakh, Russian, English. Text editor Word for Windows, the Times New Roman front, Cyr № 12 через 1,5 interval. The file with the electronic version of the work should be named after the author's last name (for example, Nurlanov.doc).
Review: Works (competition works in the form of an essay) are not reviewed.
Work Evaluation Criteria: compliance with the theme of the competition, consistency of work in the essay genre, expressiveness of the author's position, correspondence of the language (Kazakh, Russian, English) of the work to literary norms, creative approach, correlation of work with modernity.
Contest results: the final results will be summed up and announced on March 30, 2022 in Nur-Sultan.
Publication of the best essays: According to the decision of the competition committee, the best essays will be published in the annual conference «Bilim jane Gylym».
Rewarding: The winners of the contest will be awarded with diplomas and gifts. All participants of the contest will be issued certificates of participation.
