On February 19, 2022, at the Department of Turkic Studies of the Faculty of International Relations held an online seminar «Teacher of the Nation»: historical and artistic reality».
A 6-episode television series about the leader of the Alash Party Akhmet Baitursynov, whose 150th anniversary is celebrated this year within the framework of UNESCO, was warmly received by the audience. The meeting was attended by members of the film crew - director Murat Yeszhan, producer Aisaule Abildayeva, screenwriter Ularbek Nurgalym, artistic consultant-editor Ushkin Saidrakhmanuly and famous actor Baigali Yesenali, who played the main role.
During the meeting, an excerpt from a television series translated into Turkish was presented. Professors of the Department of Turkic Studies Sh.Ybyraev, M.Eskeyeva, A.Sharip, Associate Professor Zh.Sayyn shared their impressions of the film and discussed the features of the artistic processing of historical facts. The dean of the faculty M.M. Kosybaev noted the importance of this work in educating the younger generation in the national spirit and thanked the film crew of the series.
