18 June 2018 the Cultural representative office of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran was holding the event dedicated to an important religious holiday “Eid Fitr” that marks the end of the Islamic holy month Ramadan.
The students of the Eurasian National University after L.N. Gumilyov of the Department of Oriental Studies, who major in Iranian studies, were taking part in the organization of the celebration. In the course of the event an information about the holiday was presented by the head of the Cultural Center of Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Masoud Sheikh Zeineddin. Additionally, presentation prepared by students was also presented shortly. Also students of language courses were awarded with certificates and participants of “Book Fair 2018” were given presents for their active participation. In the beginning and the end of the celebration speeches were given by the head of the Department of Oriental Studies Akzhigit Alibekuly and the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Abisheva Madina Magazovna. An interesting quiz about Iran and beautiful musical performances were prepared especially for the guests by our students.
After the main part of the event the guests were invited to taste delicious national foods at the buffet table.
