On January 28, 2022, on the Zoom platform, the results of the priffesional orientation event of the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of International Relations of the L.N. Gumilyov - online essay contest «How do I see Kazakhstan on the world stage» among students in grades 10-11 of schools in Kazakhstan.
The competition was designed to inspire students to reveal their creativity, promote the development of intellectual potential, form patriotic consciousness, and attract the interest of young people to the processes taking place in the international arena.
Essays were accepted in one of three languages - Kazakh, Russian or English.
In total, 106 essays were sent during the period of the competition. There are 50 of them in Kazakh, 23 in Russian, 33 in English.
As for the geography of the participants, the city of Nur-Sultan was represented by 87 students, other regions of Kazakhstan - 18 students.
At the event, the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Miras Makhmedunovich Kossybaev delivered a welcoming speech, he expressed gratitude to all the participants and teachers who assisted the students in writing the essay. The dean spoke about the departments of the faculty, educational programs.
The head of the Department of International Relations, Dana Kabidullayevna Akhmedyanova, noted the career orientation of the competition, the geography of the participants in the competition, the high level of knowledge of English by schoolchildren, presented the educational program «International Relations», talking about its content, the website of the faculty and the pages of the faculty and the department in social networks.
President of the «Diplomatic Alliance» Aruzhan Bergeneva presented the activities of the student club, showing its professional orientation and value for the development of special competencies.
All received works were checked by a commission headed by professors of the department - G.M. Kakenova, A.M. Yesdauletova, R.S. Yelmurzaeva. Kakenova Gulnara Mazhitovna and Yesdauletova Ardak Melsovna shared their impressions of the read works and announced the results of the competition.
Prize winners were:
- 1st place - Dakenov Dzhihangir (school-gymnasium No. 77 in Nur-Sultan, teacher - Imakova Laura Ospanovna);
- 2nd place - Gridyushko Evelina Vitalievna (secondary school in the village of Volgodonovka of the education department for the Arshalynsky district of the education department of the Akmola region, teacher - Satanova Asel Serikkyzy);
- 2nd place - Shishkevich Daniil Igorevich (regional specialized boarding school for gifted children LORD of the municipal state institution «Education Department of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan region», teacher - Sergienko Yulia Alekseevna);
- 3rd place - Yesengeldi Aruzhan (school-gymnasium No. 77 in Nur-Sultan, teacher-expert - Aukenova Asel Shattykovna);
- 3rd place - Zuyeva Darya Gennadievna (lyceum school No. 79, Nur-Sultan, teacher-researcher - Kassymova Akmaral Socialovna).

All winners and nominees will be awarded with diplomas and ENU souvenir image products.
