On 1st of March 2019, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Afghanistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Mohammad Farhad Azimi paid an official visit to Eurasian National University named after L. N. Gumilev. This meeting was held in the format of an interactive lecture, which was organized by the initiative of the Director of the Center for Internationalization Seit Ali Avcu.
During the meeting, Mr. Ambassador focused on various aspects of foreign and domestic policy, spoke about the current economic situation in Afghanistan. Mr. Mohammad Farhad Azimi touched upon the history of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, noting the importance of these relations for the economic and cultural development of the two countries.
Students actively participated in the conversation and asked very complex and interesting questions, in particular, the views and actions of Afghanistan on the relations between India and Pakistan, the real relations between Afghanistan and Iran, etc. Mr. Ambassador responded to such questions with great pleasure. He also stressed the personal interest in teaching the Persian language and the spread of Iranian-Afghan culture, as well as the readiness to assist in the employment of students, who specialize in Persian language and Iran.
The meeting was attended by students of the faculty of international relations and faculty members.
