17.06.2021 at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of International Relations it was held a scientific and methodological webinar on the topic "Сritical thinking technologies as a tool of students` motivation in the English classroom"
Zh.T. Kulakhmetova, the senior lecturer of the department, made a report.
She introduced the participants of the webinar to the main idea of the critical thinking technology , with the techniques and methods used in the English classes, such as the Cluster method, the Fishbone method or the Ishikawa diagram, the Log book technique, the Insert text marking technique, the writing "Cinquain".
The teacher shared her experience of using the listed methods in the classroom and noted that they can significantly increase the time of speech practice for each student, teach them to classify, evaluate, critically analyze information, select it and present it in a short and concise form.
After the webinar, a discussion took place, during which its participants noted the effectiveness and expediency of using techniques and methods of critical thinking in the foreign language classes.
