A webinar "Effective means of teaching foreign languages out of classes"

On April 1, 2002, a scientific and methodological webinar "Effective means of teaching foreign languages out of classes" was held at the Department of Foreign Languages, prepared and conducted for colleagues by Ph.D. Beisembayeva Saule Toleutaevna.

The first part of the webinar was devoted to the consideration of the theoretical side of the issue, the head of the seminar together with colleagues discussed the most important goals of teaching foreign languages, and also considered classical and modern means of teaching languages – basic, auxiliary and additional means. The main focus was on the use of various means of teaching foreign languages out of classes, therefore, in the second part of the webinar Saule Toleutaevna offered a number of such opportunities for discussion, among which were participation in academic mobility programs, online meetings and discussions with native speakers, participation in conversational clubs, participation in online-chat rooms of various organizations related to teaching foreign languages. For example, a list of speaking clubs in Nur-Sultan was proposed, where students can practice English, German, Korean, French and Kazakh languages, links to sites where there are chat rooms for online communication in foreign languages, as well as links whose material can be used for self-study and improvement of languages. The seminar participants were interested and active in discussing all issues.
