Gumilyov Eurasian National University H.Kamalashkyzy, S.Zhaksylykova, F.Askhatova, A.Balkembayeva, K.Oshakbayeva passed a scientific internship at the People’s Friendship University of Russia.
The purpose of the scientific internship is to raise the level of theoretical and practical knowledge, exchange of experience, to collect information on the topic of master students’ theses, and to strengthen intercultural ties.
Today RUDN University is one of the leading state higher educational institutions of Russia. It is the only university in the world every year uniting students from 145-150 countries. The University has a multiprofile structure of faculties and majors, typical for classical universities of the world. More than 77 thousand graduates of the University work in 170 countries, among them more than 5500 holders of PhD and Doctorate degrees. Specialists are prepared in 62 majors and lines of study. More than 29 thousand graduate and postgraduate students from 140 countries are currently studying at the university. They represent more than 450 nations and nationalities of the world.
Throughout the time of the internship, painstaking work was carried out at the Russian State Library, which is the largest public library in Russia and continental Europe. The library has books in various languages that help students to penetrate deeper into the topic under study. There is also an electronic library.
During the internship, the head of the internship was prof. Uldanay Maksutovna Bakhtikireeva, who lectured on the program "Theory and practice of translation: the experience of Kazakhstan."
Dean of the Faculty of Humanitarian and Social Sciences prof. V.A. Tsvyk gave a lecture on the theme "The influence of the Turkisms on the formation of the Russian language consciousness. Life of language in culture and society. " And also the head of the department of Russian language and intercultural communication prof. V.P. Sinyachkin, Dr. (PhD)., prof. of the Department O.A. Valikova held a consultation on the themes of master's theses.
The 1-2th of December they took part in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "From bilingualism to translationalism: pro and contra", which was held within the framework of the Russian language and intercultural communication department. And also they were moderators of the round table on the topic "Language processes and language policy in Russia and the world" where they represented the university and the country.
A certificate confirming the successful completion of the internship was handed to the master students.
The master students express their gratitude to the faculty, the head of the departments of the Eurasian National University and People’s Friendship University of Russia for the opportunity to undergo a research internship.
