On April 19, 2018 ENU Department of Turkology hosted the event Türkçe’nin Sesi «Şiir ve Türkü Dinletisi» (Voice of Turkish – Poetry and Folk Songs Recital) with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Astana and YunusEmreTurkish Cultural Centre in order to promote interest in Turkish culture. The opening speech was delivered by AbdulmutallibÇetin, the Counsellor of Educationof the Embassy of Turkish Republic in Astana. The audience were also addressed by the Vice-Rector B. J. Somzhurek, and the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, A. N. Zholdasbekova. The event was attended by faculty and students of the University, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Astana and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). Students and visiting teachers of the department of Turkology were awarded certificates of appreciation.
