Foreign Languages Department of International Relations Faculty held a methodical seminar

Methodical work, as we know, implies mastering the most rational methods and techniques of teaching students, and it is the most important means of improving pedagogical skills of university teachers, linking the entire system of higher education in a coherent whole.

The role of methodical work increases significantly in modern conditions in connection with the modernization of education. The requirements for the university teacher are being increased. Modern university teachers should not only be well-oriented in their subject area, but also have the sufficient skills to work with modern information technologies.

In this connection and with the purpose of sharing experience in the use of various mobile applications and information platforms, on January 23, 2018 teachers of Foreign Languages Department of International Relations Faculty Makulbayeva A.A. and Amrenova A.N. held a methodical seminar for teachers of foreign languages on: "The use of digital technologies in pedagogical activity".

During the seminar, they presented possibilities of using such mobile application as EDMODO, which is a kind of online meeting place for teachers and students to jointly solve educational goals.

In addition, the seminar moderators presented many other mobile applications and websites for English language learners, and called colleagues to discuss their advantages and disadvantages.

At the end of the seminar teachers of the department exchanged opinions and comments and noted the high level of pedagogical competence of their young, but methodically well-savvy colleagues.
