The Faculty of International Relations hosts lectures by a visiting professor

At the Department of International Relations of International Relations Faculty of L.N. Gumilyov ENU hosts lectures by Candidate in Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Marina Vladimirovna Lapenko as part of the Visiting Professor Program.

Marina Lapenko is an associate professor of International Relations Department and Foreign Policy of Russia of the Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky, Head of International Relations Department of the Saratov State Law Academy (Saratov, the Russian Federation), director of the Non-profit Partnership Information and Analytical Center «Eurasia-Volga region», member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Policy and Public Relations of the Saratov region, member of the Public Chamber of the Saratov region.

During the classes, Marina Vladimirovna not only teaches the method of International Relations Research and economic aspects of diplomacy, but also advises students on writing final qualifying papers, works with doctoral students of the Department of Regional Studies as a foreign consultant.

During the introductory meeting with the teaching staff, M.V.Lapenko shared her research experience gained as the head of the current and completed socially significant projects of the Presidential Grants Foundation («Youth Parliamentarism as the basis for sustainable political development and partnership of the CIS countries», «Youth Eurasian Track: partnership, development and innovation in modern diplomacy», «Youth Entrepreneurship in the Volga region and Western Kazakhstan: a new stage of cross-border integration», «IQ Club of Russia and Kazakhstan: development of expert dialogue of the border regions of the Eurasian Economic Union»). The guest presented the activities of the Eurasia-Volga Region Information and Analytical Center as a socially oriented non-profit organization and events planned in the near future.

The Faculty of International Relations of L.N. Gumilyov ENU closely cooperates with the Information and Analytical Center «Eurasia-Volga region», taking part in the events held by this center. The meeting participants discussed the work plan for 2022.
