International Conference on Migration was held at ENU

On May 31, 2022, ENU hosted an international scientific-practical conference "Migration processes in the world community: international, regional and national aspects", organized by the Department of Regional Studies of ENU. Gumilev jointly with the Department of Central Asia and the Caucasus (Institute of Asia and Africa MGU named after MV Lomonosov) and Non-Commercial Joint-Stock Company "Fund Otandastar".

The purpose of the event: to analyze the new international legal documents on migration and repatriation policy, to give a new impetus to the study and analysis of new challenges and risks.

The conference was held in three sections. In the first section "Migration trends in the world: internal and external factors" participated more than 30 speakers. In the second section "Migration and repatriation policy in the countries of Central Asia" was attended by 20 speakers. In the third section, "International and national legislation on migration issues: challenges and prospects" presented 11 speakers.

The conference gave participants the opportunity to exchange views, listen to different expert assessments, identify ways to solve the problem.
