On November 24, 2022, a round table with Alvaro Marcos, a lecturer of ENU named after L.N.Gumilyov, was organized at the school-gymnasium №65 of Astana as part of the decade of the English language. English teacher G.I.Baibusinova, as the moderator of this meeting, suggested the topic "International Education" to the participants. The conversation was attended by students of grades 9-11, who face the main task of where to go to study and how to find their professional path. Alvaro Marcos spoke about his choice of profession, his university, his work experience in various countries and his country – Spain. Schoolchildren were shown a video presentation about Spain and its cities. The most interesting moment was the questions to the guest. Students could not help but ask the guest about bullfighting and flamenco dancing, Spanish football teams and whether our guest is a fan of them. Alvaro, in turn, also asked questions. A mini Spanish lesson was also unexpected for all participants, which caused excitement in the audience and laughter when students answered Alvaro's questions in Spanish. Students did not let the guest go for a long time, asking more and more new questions and were happy to share their good impressions. The meeting ended with a shared photo and a tour of the school.
