On May 17, 2022, an event was held dedicated to the conclusion of the results of the activities of the «Mononoke» club for the 2021-2022 academic year and a farewell ceremony for graduates.
The event began with a solemn speech by the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Kosybaev Miras Makhmedunovich. Further, the deputy of the diplomatic mission, adviser Kanata Tomohiro and the first secretary of the department of culture, education, information and consulate Kinoshita Yuya, as invited guests, made a welcoming speech. The event was also attended by the head of the Department of Oriental Studies Birimkulova Gulnara Userbaevna, and teachers Samal Abaevna, Akzhigit Alibekuly, Yerkin Assel and others.
Further, undergraduates of the Japanese department from 1st to 4th years and graduate students showed various aspects of Kazakh and Japanese culture: 1st year student Balgozhina Asem read poems by the famous Japanese writer Miyazawa Kenji, 2nd year students performed a play in the traditional Japanese «rakugo» style, first-year students performed a traditional Japanese dance «Souran bushi», 1st year student Rakhimova Nargiza sang the song «Kozimnin karasy» by Abai Kunanbaev in Japanese and Kazakh languages to the accompaniment of 2nd year student Kumisbek Medina on the violin. Furthermore, 1st year students and undergraduates performed modern Japanese songs. As the event was coming to end, the 4th year graduates made an acceptance speech in Japanese.
In conclusion, Mr. Kinoshita shared his impressions and expressed his hopes for further cooperation. Letters of appreciation were given to the students who actively participated in the activities of the club.
The event was organised by the executive of the «Mononoke» Japanese club Sudyeva Nursulu Baimagambetovna.
