On September 28, 2021, at a scientific webinar organized by the Department of Turkology of the Faculty of International Relations, Professor of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasavi, Doctor of Historical Sciences Hazretali Tursun delivered a lecture on the topic "Turkestan wing of the Alash movement". The webinar was attended by teaching staff and students of the Department of Turkology. The Alash scholar spoke in detail about the history of Turkestan autonomy, about the struggle of representatives of the national elite for building a state in the early twentieth century, about the activities of the Alash press. Referring to the archival data, the researcher acquainted the audience with the latest information and shared interesting thoughts. Answering the questions in detail, H. Tursun drew attention to the fact that this event coincided with the tenth plenary session of TurkPA in the resumed city of Turkestan and stressed the importance of developing scientific partnership in the Turkic world.
