“Language is the key to the recognition of the soul of the people”, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages. This event is aimed at the formation of language values among students, instilling the principles of different vital documentation about languages, integrity and raising the level of the policy itself.
According to the state strategies, standard subject plans and cultural project “Trinity of Languages” trilingual education is a core element of these documents. In 2007, the first president of Kazakhstan – Nursultan Nazarbayev attempted to establish a policy to legitimize languages. By doing this, the “trilingual policy” has become part of the strategic development of Kazakhstan till 2020 (Bridges, 2014, p.14).
The State Programme of Education Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011-2030 foresees that all schools should provide education at least in three languages in Kazakhstan: Kazakh, Russian and English. The development of trilingual policy implementation acts as one of the priorities not only at schools, but also at different Universities. According to the Standard Subject Plan 2021-2030, all educational institutions are expected to support the notion of implementing the plan.
1st year students of the Faculty of Journalism read excerpts from the works of the outstanding Kazakh writers and different proverbs about language.
