A scientific and methodological webinar “The analysis of the effectiveness of innovative methods and technologies in the educational process in university” was held at ENU L.N.Gumilyov FIR.

On January 13, 2023 within the framework of methodical week the Faculty of International Relations hosted a scientific and methodological webinar on “The analysis of the effectiveness of innovative methods and technologies in the educational process in university.

The webinar started with the opening speech by the Deputy Dean for scientific work Kaliyeva A.B. to welcome the main facilitator of the event: S.T. Beisembayeva, who is in charge of the educational and methodological work of the faculty and the guests: D.R. Zinagabdenova, Head of the methodological office, faculty members and the employers.

After her welcoming speech the Deputy Dean for scientific work Kaliyeva A.B. gave floor to the Doctor of historical sciences, Professor Kayirken T.Z. to share his 20-year experience of teaching "History of China".

In his presentation Professor Kayirken T.Z. noted that "History of China" as the main subject of the specialty "Oriental Studies" is, in fact, the only basic discipline that comprehensively reveals the formation and development of China as a nation and a state, defines the basis of statehood and nation, ethno-cultural identity, international relations and political orientations, as well as the country’s major ambitions. The quality of the students knowledge greatly depends on correct teaching of the subject” he said. Nowadays, the changing requirements for students competence level forces teaching staff to use various effective methods and techniques in teaching the discipline. Therefore, in his report Professor Kayirken T.Z. stressed the importance of providing students, first of all, with a classic textbook or its electronic multimedia version. He also proposed to reduce traditional lecturing and increase communication with students during seminars instead, the accent being on their creativity.

The report by G.A. Begimova, Associate Professor at the Turkology Department, on "The Efficiency of New Technologies in Education" was informative as well. It was based on her own experience in teaching Turkish. In her presentation she touched upon the effectiveness of new methods of teaching Turkish by applying songs, proverbs and sayings.

The invited employers took active part in the webinar: Kenzhaliyeva M.K., Director of Arabic Language Center "Beibarys" and N. N. Kadrimbetova, Deputy Director of National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed their positive opinion about the graduates of the faculty and shared their views of the subject.

The participants of this scientific and methodological webinar had an opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas and innovative technologies that are applicable in the educational process.
