On October 14, 2022, 1st year students of the Faculty of International Relations with a degree in Oriental Studies visited the Museum of the History of Writing of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and got acquainted with the writing written in the ancient Turkic and Arabic alphabets.

The main purpose of the Museum of the History of Writing is focused on the study of the history of writing. There you can see examples of writing of the Turkic people of the Eurasian space, which are considered as a very valuable heritage of the world culture.

 

The head of the Museum Kozhamkul Tamara Abzhankyzy introduced the students to the history of the museum and the scientists who were the first to reveal the secrets of the annals. The students asked their questions.

 

The curator of the group Sudyyeva Nursulu Baimagambetovna gave a short lecture at the museum and noted that in most modern Turkic states there is a tendency to return to writing based on the Latin alphabet. She also shared information that the monument to Kultegin of the 8th century, located on Kultegin Alley, was brought from the city of Osaka in Japan.
