Senior Lecturer of the APK Department, PhD Zhuldyzai Iskakova took part in the UNFPA Regional Conference on Family Policy in Istanbul

 A UNFPA Regional conference on "Inclusive family policy for a better future" was held in Istanbul (Turkey).

The Conference provided an opportunity for governments, the private sector, academics and other stakeholders to discuss aspects of family policy that contribute to sustainable development, gender equality and demographic sustainability of the country. The Kazakh delegation included Zhuldyzai Iskakova, PhD, senior lecturer of the APK Department, postdoctoral student of the "Zhas Galym" project.

Successful strategies and practices of Turkey and Eastern European countries were demonstrated at the conference.

Within the framework of the conference, 6 panel sessions were held:

1 - Gender equality and demographic sustainability.

2 - Creating conditions: Demographic sustainability through gender-sensitive family policy.

3 - Decision-making bodies and Gender-sensitive Family policy.

4 - Business case for family workplaces.

5 - How to make workplaces family-friendly and inclusive?

6 - Past and Future: Reflections on gender-sensitive family policy.
