On December 2, 2022, the results of the Persian Language Olympiad held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University became known for the first time since the beginning of teaching Persian at this educational institution in 1999.

The results were announced by Ali Akbar Talebi Matin, Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The students who won prizes (beginner level - Barbol Sabra, Shakirzhanov Temirlan, Tolegenova Dilnaz; second level - Zulfaidar Muhamed, Darkhanuly Ali, Kazken Alibi) were awarded certificates, memorable prizes and monetary remuneration as motivation for further study of Farsi. It should also be noted the good results of the following students of the Department of Oriental Studies and History of Kazakhstan: Bakdaulet, Tauekelova Zhuldyzai, Adaykhankyzy Nurshat, Abikenova Veronika, Abilov Sanzhar, Ernuruly Miras, Kenzhebekkyzy Rayyana.

The head of the Department of Oriental Studies, PhD Doctor Gulnar Birimkulova and the head of the History of Kazakhstan Department, Candidate of Historical Sciences Ganizhamal Kushenova, delivered words of farewell and congratulations.

On this day, students also celebrated the Day of Students in Iran. The students prepared a theatrical performance in the language, fully getting used to the role, expressed wise sayings about students and student life in Farsi.
