Professor of the Department of Oriental Studies Azmukhanova Ayman conducted a methodical webinar

On March 16, 2023, a methodical webinar was held on the topic "Methods of formation of modern competencies in the classes of Orientalists". The webinar was conducted by the Candidate of Historical sciences, Associate Professor of the Department A.M. Azmukhanova. Basing on 4 main issues, she analyzed professional competencies, competencies in the field of sustainable development, the competence of the OK in the formation and implementation of the training of orientalists, as well as role-based methods from her teaching experience. Putting the competence of teachers training modern Orientalists in the first place, she spoke about the main positions and in-depth training of professionals who should be experts in their field, with deep knowledge and a worthy example for their students. It is emphasized that such specialists can be trained not only "knowledgeable graduates", but also "able, versatile, creative graduates" who are able to respond to the demands of society and the state, who improve their competencies in the classroom. The webinar analyzed: socio-psychological, professional-communicative, general pedagogical, reflexive, subject, managerial and other competencies, linking them with the methods used during lectures and seminars. She also demonstrated how to use the basic rules and methods of Oriental studies in solving professional problems and to understand the structure of global processes of scientific and technical innovations, including their role and place in Kazakhstan. The webinar was attended by teachers and students of the Faculty of International Relations, as well as professional orientalists, Phd students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, undergraduates of Astana International University. The methodical webinar, attended by more than 40 listeners, was very interesting and impressive. At the end of the event, participants expressed their gratitude.
