Persian Language Club “Ariana” celebrates “Yalda Night”

On December 20, 2019, as part of the activities Of the club of Persian language lovers "Ariana", the Shabe Yalda festival was held with the participation of employees of the Iranian cultural center at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazakhstan and Iranian teacher Marzieh Razavi and students of the Persian group. The "night of Yalda", which is one of the oldest holidays in Iran, is celebrated annually on the night of December 21-22 by the Iranian people. This night is called “Shabe Yalda “ or “Chelle” and it is considered the longest night. The Director of the Iranian cultural center Ali Kebriaizadeh made a welcoming speech, thanking the organizers and wishing all participants good luck. He also noted the importance of the evening. The beginning of the event began with a cheerful song "shabe Yalda" performed by students of the Persian group. Then a video contest "shabe Yalda"was held among the students. Gifts were awarded for the best video. The evening continued with a reading of fragments from Hafez, which was devoted to speculation about the future. At the end of the evening, Iranian teacher Marzieh Razavi thanked the guests, organizers and all active students. Guests were treated to a festive dastarkhan.
