On September 9, 2021, the republican round table of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was held to discuss and implement the President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan "Unity of the people and systemic reforms – a solid foundation for the country's prosperity".
The event was held in a hybrid format on the basis of the House of Friendship. More than 40 people took part, among them: deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of ethnic and cultural associations, heads of departments of internal policy of regions, scientists and experts.
The opening speech was made by the Deputy Chairman of the Head of the APK Secretariat Azilkhanov M. A. It was noted that the APK in modern conditions is a unique public institution that protects the values of unity, peace and harmony. In the near future, the institute will have to change the format of the friendship houses and turn them into project offices for APK projects.
Ethno-cultural associations will be transferred to the "open space" mode of operation (open space). The Institute of Public Mediation of the APK will develop as an institute of professional negotiators.
Azilkhanov M. A. noted that the Secretariat of the Assembly, the Ministry of Information and Public Development are actively working on tools to fulfill the tasks of the Address.
The APK is also preparing a training program with the involvement of the experience of organizing ethno mediators in the United States. Work is underway to update the Concept of Development of the APK (until 2025), and the Action Plan for its implementation.
Leaders and representatives of ethno-cultural associations also spoke on the platform.
