Faculty of International Relations of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU was visited by a delegation of the University of Warsaw

On April 8, 2022, the Faculty of International Relations of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU was visited by a delegation of the University of Warsaw in the following composition: Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, Professor Daniel Przastek; Head of Didactic Unit. Vice Dean for Students Affairs, Prof. Maciej Raś; Dean’s Representative for International Cooperation and Research Programms, Head of the Department of Global and Regional Studies, Prof. Jakub Zajączkowski; PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Global and Regional Studies, Dean’s Representative for short-term programs Łukasz Gołota; M.A., Ph.D., Didactic Unit Head’s Representative for Admission Linda Masalska; Master of Arts, Head of Promotions and Communications Jakub Nowotarski.

The guests were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Yerkin Anuarovich Ongarbayev and the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Kossybaev Miras Makhmedunovich. Before lunch, the official part of the agenda was held with the participation of the Director of the Department of International Cooperation Karmelyuk Anastasia Vyacheslavovna and the Head of the Department of Postgraduate Education Lashkareva Olga Vasilievna. The parties discussed the organization of internships for master students and PhD students, the appointment of foreign scientific consultants for PhD students, general issues of the implementation of the double degree program, the organization of academic exchange of students and teaching staff, the organization of summer and winter schools, participation in scientific projects, writing joint publications.

After lunch, close work with the teaching staff of the Department of International Relations took place. The organization, structure and content of a potential double degree program were discussed in more detail, taking into account the requirements of national legislation and procedures of both universities. The teachers spoke about their scientific interests and scientific directions of the department, showing interest in joint scientific research, including at the level of scientific publications.
