On October 16, 2023, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) hosted a delegation from the University of Minnesota (UMN). The delegation members were Dean of the College of Education and Human Development Dr. Michael Rodriguez, Director of CEHD International Initiatives Dr. Marina Aleixo, Professors Bhaskar Upadhyay, PhD, LeeAnn Godfrey, PhD, Stephanie Hanson, Darren LaScotte, PhD, and Zhuldyz Amankulova, PhD.
In 2022, the University of Minnesota invited visiting professors from L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University: Lyazat Meіrambekova, PhD, Head of Foreign Languages Department, Madina Tussupbekova, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Diana Akizhanova, PhD, Head of Translation Theory and Practice Department, to do research under “500 scholars” Bolashak program.
The main purpose of the visit to the University was to discuss possible ways of collaboration with ENU, meeting with the university administration and academic staff. The delegation visited ENU museum, scientific library, Faculty of Philology and Faculty of International Relations. During the meeting Vice-Rector for Science, Commercialization and Internationalization Zhanna Kurmangalieva told about the prospects of cooperation between ENU and UMN (management of doctoral dissertations, academic mobility of students and scholars, editing and reviewing works).
