The department carries out the educational process in all three levels of study: undergraduate, graduate, doctoral studies. Students are taught in 2 specialties: 5В021200 - “Turkology”, 5В021000 - “Foreign Philology: Turkish”. Graduate students are also studying in two specialties: 6M021200- “Turkology” and 6M020500 - “Philology: Turkic languages”. Doctoral studies are carried out in the specialty 6D021200 - "Turkology".

The purpose of the educational program

Bachelor of Humanities in the educational program "6B02212-Turkology". Training of a Turkologist in the field of humanities, who has integrative knowledge in the field of history, language, literature, ethnoculture of the Turkic peoples, has the skills of analyzing Turkic written monuments and can use the acquired knowledge and skills in professional activities.

To engage in oral and written communication in Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages to solve the problems of interpersonal, intercultural and professional communication. Use digital technology, various types of information and communication technologies for the search, storage, processing, protection and dissemination of information and apply entrepreneurial knowledge in various spheres of life. Apply philosophical knowledge to form a worldview position, analyze the main stages and patterns of the historical development of society to form a civil position. To provide full-fledged social and professional activities with methods and means of physical culture, to possess a culture of safety, to have an environmental consciousness.
