BACHELOR'S PROGRAMME
Purpose of the Degree Programme
Preparation of competitive bachelors who have mastered and are able to apply fundamental knowledge in the field of international relations with basic skills in analyzing complex issues and problems of international interaction. The programme suggests focusing on one of the three dimensions of international relations: diplomacy and foreign policy, international economic relations, international legal regulation of the international system
Key Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the “International Relations" Bachelor's programme shall: understand the scope and object of the professional activity of International Relations specialist; understand and be able to use theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the analysis of international relations; possess the skills of searching, perceiving and analyzing various forms of information and be able to make logical and reasoned judgments; understand, interpret the modern international system and world processes, analyze international problems at the global, regional and country levels; understand and be able to explain and identify the cause and effect relationships of international processes, including the level of Central Asia, relying on knowledge in the field of history, geopolitics, civilizational development; be able to interpret and explain various aspects of foreign policy activity of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Competency profile of graduates:
The bachelor of the “International Relations" degree programmeme is trained to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RK, various government bodies and organizations of the RK, working in the field of foreign policy relations, international organizations, transnational corporations in positions: referent, expert, consultant in the field of international relations, foreign policy reviewer, interpreter-referent in relevant foreign language, employee of scientific and educational organizations of the RK and at positions foreseen for replacement of specialists with higher special education by standard nomenclature positions.

MASTER'S PROGRAMME
Purpose of the Degree Programme
To prepare qualified Masters of art possessing the skills of scientific research work, able to apply modern methods of research of international relations in complex reflection and analysis of the global processes, and possessing the methodology of teaching the disciplines on their specialty.
Key Learning Outcomes
The graduates of the International Relations Master program me shall:demonstrate knowledge and critical understanding of issues related to the area of international relations studies as well as interdisciplinary studies; be able to analyze contemporary issues of international relations applying classic and modern theories of international relations; be able to independently organize and conduct search and processing of research material related to the research topic; be able to develop strategies of self-education and research activities, to apply the knowledge to synthesize new scientific material and to solve issues in new and unknown situations; be able to apply integrated research technologies in research and professional activities; be able to develop relevant research questions and research design to answer the question, to provide independent conclusions and present them orally and in written form; be able to work with students, to effectively organize the learning process of students in a taught course; be able to use apply Kazakh, Russian and foreing languages fluently in professional activities.
Competency profile of graduates:
The graduates of the “International Relations” Master program may work at higher education institutions, research institutions, public and private institutions, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, international cooperation offices of the various ministries, organizations dealing with regional issues, international organizations and institutions, analytical centers.

PHD PROGRAMME
Purpose of the Degree Programme
The program is aimed of training of research and teaching staff with fundamental knowledge and skills in methodology and research, able to conduct independent research in the field of interstate relations, international security and foreign policy issues of the state in order to determine the priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Key learning outcomes
To demonstrate the fluency in using scientific terms in foreign language, to be able to present his/her research in area of international relations in foreign language; To demonstrate systemic understanding of issues, related to research area of international relations and in interdisciplinary areas; Independently identify relevant research questions in international relations and choose the required research methods, to design, carry out and correct the research design and program, to make independent conclusions and present them publicly in written and oral form; To work in research team, and to supervise research in area of international relations; To apply the norms of research ethics in process of organizing and implementing research in area of international relations and use properly the reference and citation rules; Critically analyze, evaluate and synthesize the new and theoretically supported ideas and approaches to the research of international relations issues; To make contribution into development of international relations as science area through original research which results must be published on national and international levels.
