The head of the department of regional studies took part in the Erasmus program in Athens

From 5 to 18 of November 2018, the head of the department for the organization and monitoring of the educational process Prmantaeva B.A. and Head of the Department of Regional Studies Ospanova A.N. participated in the training under the Erasmus + Capacity Building Program for Higher Education of the project “IMPROVEMENT OF INTEGRATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND CORPORATE SECTORS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NEW SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT” (grant agreement 2016-3538 / 001-001) since October 2016. Under the program, they were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of the Athens University of Economics and Business. As is well known, Athens is the center and the main landmark of a Greek startup, a system that has been actively developing in the last few years, but is still in its infancy. The largest Greek startups are based in Athens. The foundations of the current business environment in Greece were laid back in 2009-2010, but the beginning of the formation of a local startup ecosystem can be considered the opening of the 2012 JEREMIE investment fund (the program of the European Commission, which allocates 70% of investments in local venture capital projects through the European Investment Fund).
