On September 1, 2020, on the Microsoft Teams platform, a meeting was held between the management and structural divisions of the Faculty of International Relations of the Eurasian National University L.N. Gumilyov with 1st year students. This academic year 115 students entered the Faculty of International Relations.
The event began with a welcoming speech from the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Professor A.M. Esengalieva. Students got acquainted with the Charter of the University, the current rules for organizing distance learning, the activities of the faculty and departments, as well as with the peculiarities of the studying and educational processes at the university. Students had the opportunity to receive detailed information about the rules for contacting the virtual dean's office and receiving feedback in the virtual reception of the departments.
Deputy Dean for educational work Kosybaev M.M. and Deputy Dean for Research Akhmetzhanova L.K. in turn, they informed students about the rules for conducting scientific, educational, organizational and social educational work in a distance format.
The head of the department of regional studies Ospanova A.N., department of international relations Akhmedyanova D.K., acting head of the department of regional studies also made a congratulatory speech. Head of the Department of Oriental Studies Akzhigit Alibekuly, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Meyrambekova L.K. and Professor of the Department of Turkology Musabekova U.A. The heads of the departments congratulated the students on the beginning of the academic year, expressed their support in favor of the choice of young children regarding their future specialty. For their part, they explained the rules, regulations, norms and programs of educational and research activities of the departments.
Following the meeting, the topical issues of students were discussed within the framework of organizational work, students’ feedback with departments and the faculty, online learning and social and educational activities of the faculty and the university.
