Morpheme – is the sixth linguistic unit

On April 8, 2021 Berikbay Sagyndykuly, Professor of the Department of Kazakh linguistics of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, prominent turkologist, holder of the Wilhelm Thomsen medal, etymologist, lexicologist, theologian, member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR, “Honorary Citizen of Karmaksha District”, Doctor of Philology gave a demonstrative lecture on “Morpheme is the sixth linguistic unit” at the Department of Turkology of the Faculty of International Relations of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

The lecture was attended by about 80 scientists from all over Kazakhstan.  They’re the leading Turkologists of the department, Doctor of Philology, Professor Nurilya Shaimerdinova, Doctor of Philology, Professor Yeskeeva Magripa, Doctor of Philology, Professor Sharip Amantai, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the West Kazakhstan Engineering and Humanitarian University Sabyr Murat, Doctor of Philology, Professor of M. Otemisuly West Kazakhstan State University Gabit Hassanov, professors and lectures of the Department of Kazakh linguistics and TURKSOY of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, doctoral students, undergraduates and students. The online lecture was devoted to the a linguistic unit (particle) – morpheme (archisememe), which is associated with such linguistic details as phonemes, morphemes, words, phrases, sentences, common to the languages of the world, but unknown to our time and modern problems that will lead to the beginning of a new research field in Kazakh linguistics or Turkology in the future.From this point of view, it was proved that the knowledge of  archisememe is of great importance in revealing the relation of the language families of the world. Professor Berikbay Sagyndykovich's explanation of the evolution of their development on the basis of concrete facts, without leaving the previous path in this matter, led the participating scientists to a special thought and new thinking.

During the lecture, there was a lively discussion about the problems of Language unit (morpheme) – archisememe. Scientists shared their views on the multifaceted scientific and theoretical problems of Turkology. In general, the participants of the seminar expressed positive feedback on the results of the lecture, as well as expressed a desire to hold such events periodically.
