EU Ambassadors met with students of the Department of International Relations and shared the secrets of leadership

As part of the "Day of Europe" on May 21, 2019, the European Union Delegation held an event # Skills4Jobs. The purpose of the event were the development of leadership skills and skills for professional growth. Also, students were introduced to educational scholarships Erasmus +.

The EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mr. Sven-Olov Karlsson, Director of the Media School Kazmed Mahabbat Yesen, Art Director of the Gallery Baurzhan Sagiev, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Council on Foreign Relations Akylbayev Iskander spoke at the beginning of the event.

The main part of the event # Skills4Jobs was to hold the annual Ambassadors Cafe, where students could communicate with the ambassadors of the EU countries and gain the experience necessary for future success in their chosen profession.

First-year student of the Department of International Relations Kaliaskar Nursulu shared her impressions: “ Today we were lucky to spend time with 14 EU ambassadors in an informal atmosphere in the Ambassadors' Cafe style. The meeting was very informative and interesting. We learned about the experience of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Austria in Kazakhstan and other countries, who gave us a variety of useful advice. In addition, we got valuable information about the Erasmus+ program, so many of us have set certain goals. I hope that such events will be held more often.”

The event was completed with the presentation of the educational program of the European Union Erasmus +. Representatives of the Erasmus + National Office in Kazakhstan told about the content of the program, the criteria, stages and procedures for submitting applications and shared their valuable tips and advice for obtaining scholarships.
