Foreign Languages Department has held “STOP AIDS” event

Foreign Languages Department of International Relations Faculty has held “STOP AIDS” event,an open presentation in English on 16th of April 2019 within the framework of healthy lifestyle propaganda faculty-scaled events.

Associate Professor ZhanatZh. Nurtayeva, Ph.D of the respective Department and her talented first year students of “Oriental Studies”speciality (see photo hereby) shared their knowledge on history, ways of transmission, causes, preventive measures as well as methods of treatment of HIV/AIDS. The event was organized in a nicely decorated classroom. Likewise students told about existing stereotypes regarding HIV/AIDS. Students’ presentation was supported with threatening global and national wide statistical data on the fast spread of the disease.

Target audience of this event was youth of the university. The topic for this classwork activity was not accidentallychosen. The thing is that HIV/AIDS dissemination has increased so far and it is getting a raising trend accordingly.

 

It goes without saying that general cognition on this particular subject has been enlarged among faculty students.Main message of that event was healthy lifestyle propaganda. The presentation has found a vivid feedback from both students and academic staff.
