On March 29, 2021 an open online class was held by Senior Lecturer Saliyeva D.O. at the Foreign Languages Department, the Faculty of International Relations. The class was host on MS Teams platform with the 1-year students of the academic group B042-3214-20-02, specialty: "Public Relations".
The online class was devoted to the development of reproductive speech skills on "Electronic Devices". The lecturer rationally used innovative teaching methods and interactive assignments on the Learningapps.org, Menti.com platforms, canvas drafting on linoit.com, and team assignments at Break-out rooms. All the planned stages of the lesson were completed. The time frame was well-managed. Visualization was appropriately used to develop the skills of monologue speech within the framework of the topic. The principle of systematic and consistent knowledge building, skills and abilities were pursued - there was a correct transition from simple tasks to complex ones. In order to form critical and divergent thinking skills of students, the lecturer used the team Start-up group task.
The predominant nature of linguistic activity is creative. The class content, organization of active mental activity at all stages, individual, group and frontal forms of organizing students’ educational activities, the use of verbal, visual methods, work with a textbook, the Internet resources contributed to the achievement of the educational goals of the online class. The students were active, attentive and diligent. The participants noted the high culture of the lecturer’s speech, respectful attitude towards students, the ability to conduct a dialogue and constructiveness. The open online class of Senior Lecturer Saliyeva D.O. was held at a high professional and methodological level.
