On September 27 at the Faculty of International Relations the Auditorium “Jean Monnet - European Diplomacy” was opened. The opening of such Auditorium has been possible due to the European Union grant won by representatives of the Faculty in the framework of "Erasmus Mundus +" under the "Jean Monet Chairs" program.
Vice-Rector for International Relations and Innovations of L.N. Gumilyov ENU B.Zh.Somzhurek delivered a congratulatory speech to the gathered teachers and students, undergraduates, emphasizing the urgency of studying the ideas of Jean Monet, one of the fathers of European integration.
Head of the Department of International Relations A.M. Azmukhanova noted in her speech that the Auditorium "Jean Monet - European diplomacy" will raise the quality of teaching and internationalization of educational programs at the Department to a new level.
Ospanova A.N., Head of the Chair of Regional Studies, expressed her hope that with the functioning of the Auditorium the students of educational program “Regional Studies” will have more opportunities to study in depth the regional processes in Western Europe.
Students and undergraduates, in their speeches along with the congratulations, noted the importance of disciplines on European subjects for expanding their competencies as future specialists in the sphere of international relations and regional studies.
