On March 16, 2022, at the initiative of the senior lecturer of the Oriental Studies Department of the International Relations Faculty of the L.N. Gumilev ENU Akmaral Tyulubayeva, a holiday of Nowruz was organized with members of the club of lovers of the Persian language and Iranian culture "Ariana".
The Director of the Iranian Cultural Center Ali Akbar Talebi Matin gave the opening speech. Vice-Rector for Socio-Cultural Development of ENU Dikhan Kamzabekuly, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Miras Kosybaev and Head of the Department of Oriental Studies Akzhigit Alibekuly also congratulated. Representatives of the Eurasian University and the Iranian Center voiced opinions about the commonality of Kazakh and Iranian cultures.
3rd and 4th year students and master students of Oriental studies took an active part in this event (Orazai Arailym, Kazken Alibi, Sadanov Daulet, Kulmaganbetova Akbota, Azhibayeva Dilnaz, Mukhamedieva Inara, Baymukhanova Alua, Fragin Egor, Serikpaeva Altynai, Abikenova Veronika). The students prepared interesting presentations on the topic of Nauryz, read poems and sang a song about Nauryz in Farsi. Kazakh melodies sounded on the dombra. A competition was held for the best traditional outfit between guests, teachers and students, according to the results of which small prizes were awarded. A quiz was also held, and souvenirs were presented to the winners.
The guests and organizers of the holiday were dressed in Kazakh and Iranian national costumes, traditional jewelry. The purpose of this event was to instill love for the motherland, traditions and customs of the Kazakh and all peoples inhabiting Kazakhstan, as well as respect for the culture and language of neighboring countries, including Iran.
