January 30 at the Department of Turkology held a faculty scientific and methodological seminar. Professors, post-graduate students and undergraduates of the faculty took part in the seminar. Professor of the Department of Turkic Studies, doctor of philology Shaimerdinova N.G. made a report on the theme "Reconstruction of the Ancient Türkic model of the world". The senior lecturer of faculty, candidate of Philology N.A. Prmanova presented the report "Comparative analysis of toponyms in Turkic languages".
The reports reveal topical issues of modern Turkology, on the basis of the materials of the Turkic monuments, the problems of the cognitive model of the Turkic world, cognitive linguistics, psycholinguistics and ethnolinguistics, linguoculturology are examined. Sh. Ibrayev, A. Kairzhanov, M.Eskeeva and other professors and doctoral candidates took an active part in the discussion.
