On April 12, 2021, the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of International Relations of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University took an active part in the XVI International Scientific Conference "GYLYM JANE BILIM-2021" (Science and Education-2021) dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the L.N.Gumilyov ENU.
Young lecturers and students demonstrated the results of their research in Kazakh, English and Russian in the subsection "Foreign languages in professional communication", which was held online on the Microsoft Teams platform. All participants prepared presentations of their scientific research, which aroused keen interest and exchange of views, both among the participants themselves and among the faculty of the department.
The commission consisting of the chairperson - the head of the department, PhD Meyrambekova L.K., members of the commission, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor Yesengaliyeva A.M., associate professor, candidate of pedagogical sciences Mutali A.K. and assistant professor, secretary, candidate of philological sciences Beissembayeva S.T. especially noted the informative and well-reasoned reports of young lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Foreign Language Shyngysbaev Rustem and Amrenova Aigerim "Feasibility of teaching English using the IELTS system in higher education" (1st place), 1st year student in the specialty "Oriental Studies" Zulfaidar Muhammad “Nonverbal communication in East and West" (2nd place) and 1st year students in the specialty "Public Relations" Atanova Alina and Magay Alena "Foreign languages and social networks as the promotion tools of professional activity" (3rd place).
The commission expresses its gratitude and thankfullness to the scientific supervisors of the conference winners - A.K. Mutali and Saliyeva D.O., as well as foreign participants of the conference - Zsofia Sziraki, lecturer of the Hungarian language of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and Foreign Economic Affairs of Hungary and Madamilova Zarrina, a student of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
