«Karuta»
On March 6, 2019, an event was held as part of the Mononoke Japanese Club. The event was attended by representatives of the city of Kashihara (Japan), a representative of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, teachers of the Japanese language KazNU Al-Farabi and ENU L.N. Gumilyov. The guests from Kashihara brought the traditional national game “Karuta”, acquainted the students with the rules of this game. Students divided into groups and played Karuta several times. The winners were presented with gifts from guests, Karuta cards were presented, and a video about Kashihara was shown. Kashihara will be the host town for athletes, guests from Kazakhstan during the Olympics 2020.
At the end of the event, the students expressed deep gratitude to the guests and took a photo for memory.
