Associate Professor of the Department of regional studies was among the top ten international journalists in 2017

Andrei Shenin, an associate professor of the Department of Regional Studies of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, was awarded among the top ten finalists of the contest "Best journalist on international affairs 2017" by the Russian international Affairs Council (RIAC), agency "Interfax", journals "International Life" and "Russia in global politics". His article "Bolivar cannot carry three?" that provides an analysis of the U.S. nuclear triad modernization gave a high rating among the best works in the nomination "The Best analytical Article on International Issues".

Awarding of the winners took place on February 21 in the library n.a. F. M. Dostoyevsky in Moscow. Among the jury were such prominent persons as RIAC President Igor Ivanov, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Russia in global politics" Fyodor Lukyanov, honorary Chairman of the Russian Union of journalists Vsevolod Bogdanov, the chief editor of Gazeta.ru Olga Alekseeva.

The contest received more than 150 works from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Hungary, France etc.
