        Professional practice is aimed at expanding and consolidating the theoretical and practical knowledge gained by students in the learning process, acquiring and improving practical skills in the chosen EP, and preparing for future professional activities.

        The main bases of professional practice are the following organizations: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Egyptian Cultural Center, the Persian Cultural Center, the Eurasian Tourism Association.

        Also, students are given the right to independently search for bases of professional practice. Often, such student initiatives stem from the goals: in which company or organization they would like to work in the future, what functions they would like to perform. Of great importance for students of oriental studies is the possibility of applying knowledge of foreign languages ​​in practice. An important point in the independent choice of a place of practice by students is the correspondence of the profile of the organization to the specialty "Oriental Studies". The main bases of professional practice of students can be:

- departments, departments of international cooperation of ministries and departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- representative offices of international organizations;

- international departments of national, state, private commercial enterprises, transnational companies;

- representative offices of foreign non-governmental organizations;

- research institutes and centers;

- foreign and domestic cultural and information centers, libraries and archives;

- diplomatic and trade missions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign states, etc.

        The contingent of graduates of the Department of Oriental Studies in two directions (bachelor and master) in 2017 amounted to 33 people. The number of graduates in 2017 employed and continuing their studies in Kazakhstan and foreign universities was 28 people. Thus, today the percentage of graduates employed by the specialties “5В020900” - Oriental Studies ”and“ 6М020900 - Oriental Studies ”is 83%.

        The contingent of graduates of the department of oriental studies in two directions (bachelor and master) in 2018 amounted to 26 people. The number of graduates in 2017 employed and continuing their studies in Kazakhstan and foreign universities was 22 people. Thus, today the percentage of graduates employed by the specialties “5В020900” - Oriental Studies ”and“ 6М020900 - Oriental Studies ”is 83%.

        According to the expert assessment of employers, educational programs and disciplines meet the changing requirements of the labor market, society and employers. This is evidenced by the high level of employment of graduates of the Department of Oriental Studies. In 2021, the contingent of undergraduate graduates of the Department of Oriental Studies will be 38, 7 of them will be employed. 20 people work in their specialties. 4 people are studying for a master's degree, 2 of them are studying abroad. 1 graduate is taking maternity leave.

        Graduates of the Department of Oriental Studies hold high positions in government agencies, external relations, national and foreign companies, leading universities of the country and various research centers and institutes.

        Today, on the basis of approved cooperation agreements, the following organizations are considered as internships: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Academy of Sciences named after Ahmet Baitursynov; Eurasian Tourism Association LLP; Cultural Department of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazakhstan; International Scientific Complex "Astana"; Mega Global LLP; East Dragons LLP; IE of the International Translation Center "Daneker"; IE "Bulanai Education".

        According to the SES for higher education, students majoring in 6B02209 - Oriental Studies are required to undergo educational, industrial and pre-diploma internships, and undergraduates undergo research and pedagogical internships.

        Practice is an integral part of the educational process. It helps students to form and improve their practical skills. Terms and duration of all types of internships are conducted in accordance with the academic calendar of the 2021-2022 academic year. (See Table 1)

          Analysis of employment indicators of graduates shows the relevance of the labor market. The decline in some employment rates is due to the free distribution of graduates, maternity leave and military service.

 

          The main employers of graduates in the specialty 5B020900 - Oriental Studies are government agencies, consultants / assistants in the Ministry, analysts in international corporations / organizations, translators / consultants in the media and private entities.
