Achievements

 

The Department of Regional Studies is proud of the achievements of students. Students of OP 5B050500, OP 6M050500, OP 6D050500 take active part in republican subject olympiads, international olympiads, conferences, participate in academic mobility, win prestigious competitions, have sporting achievements.

Currently, there are many activities aimed at improving the quality of knowledge and talents of students. Among them is a special place at the Olympiad among students. Students of the specialty "Regional Studies" regularly participate in the Republican subject Olympiad in the specialty "Regional Studies" held at the Kazakh National University. As the practice has shown, discussions among students take place at the highest level, where they are active participants. The level of business and academic communication of our students, the commitment to science, and their work guaranteed them prizes for several years. The proof of this is the award of diplomas of I and III degrees of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the results of the Republican subject Olympiad.

International Olympiads

 

In the strategic direction of personnel training at ENU, academic mobility of students of EP 5B050500, 6M050500, 6D050500 "Regional Studies" is implemented, including through two-diploma educational programs 6M050500 "Regional Studies" with RUDN, MSLU, Tomsk National University, international academic exchange programs (ERASMUS +, etc. ).

 Within the framework of the double-diploma education of the USOES Network University, undergraduates are trained together with the Moscow Linguistic University (MGLU) and the Russian University of Peoples Friendship (RUDN). Since 2016, the Eurasian Studies program has been launched, this program will be implemented jointly with Tomsk State University, and is aimed at training competent specialists in the EAEU region, which is especially important due to the active growth and development of this integration association, and the high needs of bodies and structures Kazakhstan and Russia in specialists of a similar level.

Graduate student of the 1st course of the Faculty of International Relations, Department of Regional Studies Sanatova Madina won the local grant of Sur Place of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Kazakhstan. From April 27 to April 29, she took part in a seminar on the topic “Chances for young people on the labor market in the modern world” organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Kazakhstan.

At the opening of the seminar, certificates were presented to the winners of the local scholarships Sur Place 2018. During the seminar, Director of the Center for Applied Research Talap Rahim Oshakbayev shared his opinion on what the employer wants from the young employees of the Millennials generation. The Chairman of the Committee for Information and Communication Technologies, Education and Innovations at the Presidium of NPP "Atameken" Murat Abenov discussed issues of labor migration, opportunities and problems. Aigul Solovyova, Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2007-2016), Chairperson of the Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan shared interesting data on employment opportunities in the field of ecology and green economy. Thomas Helm, Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Office, discussed the main functions of the Sur Place program and the proposals submitted by the fellows. For three days, talented students listened to speakers and traditionally performed independent work. 

Freedom, justice and solidarity are the guiding principles of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The program of local grants for students of Kazakhstani universities. Sur-Place has been supporting the young elite of Kazakhstan since 2007, thereby facilitating the democratization process and building a civil society.
