The second session of the international model UN continues its work at the Gumilyev Eurasian National University.
Today, the committees of the General Assembly оf the ENUIMUN: Committee on International Security and Disarmament, Committee on Social, Humanitarian and Culture, UN Human Rights Council, held their first meetings.
The first meetings of the committees of the General Assembly of the ENUIMUN were devoted to topical issues of international security and disarmament. The participants of the conference actively discussed the problems of creating a nuclear-free world and the initiatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan on this issue. All participants of the conference highly appreciated the role of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev on the creation of the world free from nuclear weapons and called other countries to take the example from Kazakhstan on the issue of nuclear disarmament. The participants of the conference also discussed the problems of the process of creating a nuclear-free zone in the Middle East region.
At the meeting of the UN Human Rights Council, the conference participants discussed topical issues of human rights protection in the modern world. Special attention was paid to the problems of Rohingya in Myanmar.
The first day of the Second Session of the ENUIMUN has concluded with the concert of "MUN – of The Will", with the participation of foreign guests and participants of the conference.
